Lauren Layne brings all the unpredictable heat of her USA Today bestseller Blurred Lines to an all-new cast of characters! Country music’s favorite good girl is hiding away from the world—only to find herself bunking with a guy who makes her want to be a little bad.

Jenny Dawson moved to Nashville to write music, not get famous. But when her latest record goes double platinum, Jenny’s suddenly one of the town’s biggest stars—and the center of a tabloid scandal connecting her with a pop star she’s barely even met. With paparazzi tracking her every move, Jenny flees to a remote mansion in Louisiana to write her next album. The only hiccup is the unexpected presence of a brooding young caretaker named Noah, whose foul mouth and snap judgments lead to constant bickering—and serious heat.

Noah really should tell Jenny that he’s Preston Noah Maxwell Walcott, the owner of the estate where the feisty country singer has made her spoiled self at home. But the charade gives Noah a much-needed break from his own troubles, and before long, their verbal sparring is indistinguishable from foreplay. But as sizzling nights give way to quiet pillow talk, Noah begins to realize that Jenny’s almost as complicated as he is. To fit into each other’s lives, they’ll need the courage to face their problems together—before the outside world catches up to them.

Good Girl is book two of Lauren Layne's stand alone series Love Unexpectedly. (Each book maybe read as a stand alone ) I didn't know what to expect, I love Ms. Layne and I have never read a bad book by her. I find myself a stepping out of my normal reading genres for her books. I'm not all that crazy about New Adult but I enjoy hers, I'm not that crazy over the "Rock Star" or in this case Country Star romance but once again I am finding that if she writes it I'll enjoy it.

Despite all the fame of being a country singer song writer Jenny never thought it was that big of a deal she was just doing what she loved. But the paparazzi and jealous competition throw a great big monkey wrench and her life goes spiraling out of control. Now instead of being the down home sweet country girl people are looking at her like she's a home wrecking leper. Wanting an escape a place to help her get back to her roots and clear up her writers block she finds the place where it all started a summer music camp. It's closed now but she contacts the new owner and rents out the house.

Noah was his father's spare, his spare son. He was raised by his mother in a trailer park barely scrapping by but when his older brother, he never knew he had, died his father came to collect him the only reason his mother agreed was purely for his education. Noah was stuck between two worlds the one he knew as a child the blue collar world and the one his father raised him expecting him to follow in his footsteps and become just like him. Noah ends his engagement after finding out she was cheating and now he's confused about what he really wants out of life. To get away from it all he moves out to some out of the way property his father left him he never knew he had.

Noah made assumptions about Jenny, and Jenny thinking Noah was just a caretaker made her own. But the instant chemistry between the two also acts like a muse and Jenny writers block is gone. The interaction between Noah and Jenny is great. Both of them are down to earth characters and they feel like friends. Noah turns out to be so sweet and the two of them together are hot!

Overall, once again Lauren Layne has satisfied my sweet and spicy HEA tooth.
