ARC REVIEW Saving Her Angel by Missy Jane

Book three of Missy Jane's Archangel series. Unfortunately I missed the first two, I did feel like I was missing out on some of the story, recurring bad guy and background on the archangels buuut the story was enough to pull me in and entertain me. I liked the characters well enough Cam was delish but oblivious and Eleanor she was special, especially to Cam. I loved the concept of the story, it was a good story but it just didn't stick with me. I enjoyed some parts more than others, they were more memorable. The ending was really good I liked the action at the end but the build up to it was just so so. Even the romance between Cam and Eleanor was not what I hoped, it wasn't until the end that it really caught my attention.

Eleanor is a wallflower, she just blends in, people easily forget about her even her boss sometimes forgets she's in the office. Which is unfortunate for her because she's been in love with her boss forever. Cam is nearing the end of this life cycle he is about to give up his ties in this town and start a new life elsewhere. Eleanor is let go from her job, and just as it is so close to never seeing each other again Cam finally takes notice.

It's the end of the world, no just kidding it's just a demon from hell trying to gain access into our world through human sacrifice. And one of the key elements is Eleanor. Cam and the other angels have to find away to defeat the demon with no loss of human life. Cam, as I said is oblivious, he doesn't think anything is worth giving up his wings for, not even Eleanor. His brother's just shake their heads it isn't until he almost loses her he realizes his mistake.

Overall, I wish I had read the first two and I wish I could like this book more. But I will probably read more from this series if they came out.

ARC REVIEW Seattle Wolf Pack Box Set by Kristin Miller

Seattle Wolf Pack Box Set

By Kristin Miller

Overall, this was a good series. I like how it was kept to just three stories and that each could be read as a stand alone. My favorite out of the three is the last So I Married a Werewolf. It was the first one I had ever read if the series back when it was originally released. The first two were good, but all of them had some parts I liked better than others. They are all really entertaining and quick reads.

Gone with the Wolf:

First book of the series does a good job introducing the dynamics of the book series "universe" wolf pack. It was a great starter to the series. The characters were amusing they had fun experiences with each other getting to know one another and such with just a taste of suspense, which I always appreciate, but Emilia did get annoying she because stubborn and not the good kind of stubborn.
Emilia was lead to believe she was the owner of the building where she opened her bar, sadly enough she was conned. Emilia however believes Wilder Financial stole it from her. as the business slows down Emilia gets a second job working for Wilder Financial hoping she can do anything to get her bar back even if it means blackmailing the CEO. At the Christmas party she was hoping for her chance, instead she meets a sexy guy who can kiss the pants off of her. The next day she finds out she's been transferred to act as the CEO temp secretary and that when she finds out Mr. KissyFace at the Christmas party is the CEO. Drake Wilder gave up all hope to finding a mate he was ready just to hand the reigns over to his twin brother and just deal with it. He never expected to find her getting drunk on his expensive wine in his cellar and he really didn't expect her to be human.
Drake was always lead to believe that a human wasn't strong enough to survive the pregnancy with an Alpha shifter, but he isn't going to give up so easily he is open an honest with Emilia that if she wants it they can have the relationship but there will be no children. Emilia wants to hate Drake, but after he gave her undisputed proof that she was conned she is a little more open to a relationship. Only that's not the only problem. Drake's twin brother isn't going to hand over the pack so easily.

Four Weddings and a Werewolf:

This one was absolutely adorable, predictable but so freakin' cute.  I may have to retract my former statement and say this is my favorite. Veronica, once again we have someone who is too stubborn for her own good. Her hatred for shifters seems petty and silly but once she reveals the deeper and the true reason she comes off the way she does it makes sense. Logan Black sexy werewolf former marine bodyguard, yep that says it all.
Veronica Vale (at least it wasn't Vicki) is a wedding planner. Wedding number one: she meets Logan Black. Unbeknownst to Veronica her brother in law, Jake also best friend of Logan's, hires Logan to keep an eye on Veronica it seems like she has a secret admirer, but it has crossed over into the creepy. Veronica doesn't know it but her admire left her a disturbing present with a note that he looked forward to turning her in to a werewolf. Veronica's hatred to werewolves is the main reason Jake and Logan kept quiet about the whole bodyguard thing. Logan has to come clean about it when her stalker strikes again and Veronica only agrees because she thinks Logan is human.
Logan realized right off the bad that Veronica is his mate but he is determined not to give in; one he never wants to get married or mated because his line of work and two how Veronica feels about werewolves. Wedding number two: Veronica realizes just how dangerous her stalker really is and finally finds out the truth about Logan. Well to say the shit hit the fan is pretty accurate but by then Veronica and Logan attraction is pretty strong too they just have to stop being so stubborn and realize it.

So I Married a Werewolf:

Book three is the odd ball of the trio, it is the only one that is strictly romance. It is a cute romance of two best friends who make deal that benefits them both and end up falling in love. This a quick and easy read with laughs and a little bit of heartache. I think the dog Humperdink steals the spotlight of the book. I loved Faith, she is delightful and I think out of the three I can relate most to her. Faith is a dog trainer and walker and runs a blog all about dogs and training and related. She is also putting her brother through college. Carter has always dreamed of being a detective in the Enforcement Bureau of the Seattle Pack. He is finally getting the chance for his promotion but the higher ups want someone who is mated. Carter lies and tells them he was getting married. Faith is in need of extra income because her brother just got accepted into Yale. Carter offers to pay her brothers way if she will act as his fiancee. One thing leads to another and they have to get married, to prove that they are a real deal. Carter wasn't the only one trying to get a spot as detective and so Carter and Nate are competing for the spot. Faith tries the hardest to prove that they are a real couple she even goes to a cooking class to learn so she can impress the bosses' wives.
Carter has issues with accepting that Faith could be his fated mate, he's already had a one mate and it wasn't all rainbows and lollipops. He's hesitant to start anything serious with Faith not matter how strong the pull to her is. Faith is insecure and he's rejection she takes personal, throw in a crazy backstabbing ex and it just makes everything so much more complicated then either of them ever thought it would be.

ARC REVIEW The Moonshadow's Daughter by Kaylie Newell

The Moonshadow's Daughter is part of Wolfe Creek series, even though you can read it as a stand alone, I felt something was lacking because I haven't read the previous books. Part of that was Aimee, she's going through the transition of normal young woman to werewolf functioning in a normal society; but you come in halfway through that transition. You don't see much growing as a character because of it. The book does have a definite creep factor, the mentions and sections where "something" is out there in the woods watching really keeps you on the edge. Along with that are some pretty erie descriptives, it has some great descriptive scenes settings.

Aimee had been living in the woods since her transformation, it was easier and safer for her to be or and away from everybody. She had also been presumed dead, away from her parents and physically and mentally student than the girl that they knew. Aimee is now struggling with the urge to reenter society or stay in the woods alone forever. Her discussion gets taken out of her hands when she falls sick, she just barely makes it to her friends house; one of only three people who knows she's still alive. So sick her friends calls the doctor in.

Doctor Jake Blackstock was just grateful that his parents could take care of his son. Ever since Jake lost his wife a year ago he had been struggling with raising his young son on his own. Young Daniel, was lost in the woods and claims that a wolf man saved him and brought him back to camp. Nightly he still had reoccurring dreams of the monster that killed his mother and of the nice wolf man that saved him. Late one night Jake gets called out to the inn to treat a patient. Right away Jake knows she's something he recognizes her from the search party that was held the commercials with her face plastered all over the place asking have you seen me; it was also insta-love. Bring Aimee back to health was just part of his job, but even after she was better and disappeared again he could not stop thinking about her, worrying about her out in the woods all by herself and with winter coming the drop in temperature. He sent a message through their mutual friend for her to come see him for a follow up visit. Aimee should have stayed away but the kind and gentle doctor made her wish things could be different. She should have stayed away especially when he offered her the extra room. Daniel fell in love with Aimee almost from the get go, and as cute and adorable as that little boy is Aimee couldn't stop loving him too. The more time didn't together the more Jake falls in love with Aimee, but he is aware she is still hiding something from him. Aimee feels guilty but she's scared to share her secret, scared of what Jake will think of what he will do.

But something sinister is also out in the woods. Aimee can feel it, something watching Daniel and Jake. Something is also killing local cattle; cows, sheep and even a local who was out camping was bit by a freakin big animal that moved fast as lightning. Aimee and the other werewolves in the town have an idea who it is but can't find him, Aimee world falls apart after she tells Jake what she is and when the monster strikes again Jake's world threatens to fall apart as well.

Overall, this was a creepy, but in a good way, book. The love story was good, satisfying; the suspense was really good and the pay off at the climax was suitable, good but not the best.

ARC REVIEW Under His Skin by Stacey O'Neale

Yea! a Sci-Fi Romance from Entangled Covet. Under His Skin is the start of Stacey O'Neale's Alien Encounter series. science fiction-wise it falls a little short of my expectations but the romance was nice. It had fantastic sexual tension and a little bit sweet. I love that Annabelle made her career on a reality cooking show, Cupcake Wars. I enjoyed the story but it really didn't stand out to me, I kinda hoped for more suspense and sci-fi.

Annabelle Sparks is in love with her best friend and has been since he first walked into her bakery but Kaden Chance has a secret that keeps him acting on his feelings. Kaden is an alien a refuge from another world working with the government with their alien technologies in return for safe haven, but one of their restrictions is they are not allowed to form any attachments. Kaden's species isn't like human's they had to take a human form, their kind doesn't have a beating heart until they meet the one true mate. Kaden thinks it's safe with Annabelle until she goes on a date with another man and then his heart starts to beat. But breaking the rules set in place to protect them and humans isn't the only problem another alien has landed on Earth with vengeance on his mind and Annabelle stuck in the middle. Kaden is willing to risk his life to keep her safe. But will Annabelle forgive him for the lies and accept him for who he is alien and all?

Overall, I wanted more from this book but it was a good read and I look forward to reading the next one. Kaden's brother's are intriguing.

ARC REVIEW Ghost of You by Kelly Moran

I *bangs head on desk* missed *bangs head on desk* BOOK 2!! Despite missing book two of the Phantoms series (my own fault completely) jumping back in to the series was easy. Ghost of You is wonderful love story and creepy as hell ghost story. I inhaled it this book. Sammy and Cain are a powder keg ready to explode, it's a fine line in between love and hate.

Cain the newest member is a psychologist and Sammy has a deep routed hatred for all shrinks, the fact that he is walking sex appeal just makes her hate him more because she doesn't want to be attracted to him. Cain has feelings for Sammy, even her extreme obvious dislike of him can't get in the way of it. He likes everything about her and everyone, especially the viewers of Phantoms, can see it; everyone except her. The producers have had enough of their fight and told them to shape up and get along. One of the Producers, Elise, is retiring and knows Sammy wants the job, she will get the job as long as things straighten out between her and Cain.

The next site they are working on is in Sammy's home town. she was contacted by an old friend who recently bought land that has been said that is cursed and haunted by what maybe a demon. It's and old church and school that was closed down after a fire in the fifties and an old cemetery that predates it all back to early 1900's, the road out front is also part of the curse an ungodly amount of accidents and deaths have happened right outside the church including Sammy's own Mother. Right off the bat things start happening and it seems like the evil entity likes Sammy. Sammy tried to keep her own past out of the limelight but that's not going to happen. Everything from EVPs to outright physical attacks pushes the team away. The team tries to get to the bottom of things researching what happened and talking to a few of the survivors from the school fire. Working closely together Sammy finally realizes just how protective Cain is over her and just how comfortable she feels with him. Cain wants to help and even after Sammy tells him about her past he still won't give her up. But after everything Sammy still is pushing him away she pushes so hard she just may have lost him for good.

Overall, I really liked this book. I love the whole cast of characters and I really need to go back and read number two.

FYI it's only .99

REVIEW Her Sexy Sentinel by Jenn Burke

Jenn Burke's His Sexy Sentinel I really enjoyed, it's one of those books where I hope the author writes more about this sentinel universe. I loved the concept and the secondary characters have piqued my curiosity to want to find out more. Callie and Derrick are hot! Trying to not give in to the sexual desire quickly building between the two. It was a fast paced emotional story that had me enthralled to the very end.

Callie ran when some bad stuff went down in her home town. She ran to Ottawa for reasons she herself could quite understand and when she got there she was assaulted by some local thugs. Something strange happened to Callie then she was able to defend herself using a strange power she never had before. Already with some psychic powers she saw what would happen if she didn't do something to stop it. As soon as she does she runs scared and the only person she can think of to call is Derrick. Friends in college who dated briefly but Derrick cut and ran leaving a brokenhearted Callie behind. . Callie always thought Derrick wasn't interest but he is her only hope little did she know Derrick was more than interested in her but had his own reasons for breaking it off. Now a call in the middle of the night brings Derrick and Callie together again.

Callie's magical talent of controlling air has finally emerged, saving herself but now she thinks she has killed her attacker. Derrick has already know of Callie's potential and tried to avoid her for that reason, but now that she is back and needs his help. To make matters worse Derrick's sister was murdered and Callie became her replacement as the Magus. Callie is thrown into the world she has no clue about. The Sentinels are two magic users designated to kept the town safe. The two of them made up of the Magus, the highest magic user, and The Knight, the one who defends and protects the Magus. They are connected; bonded in a way that bring them mentally closer to each other and the sexual tension between the two becomes almost unbearable. In Derrick's grief he forgets to tell Callie some important things and since she has no clue what she is doing when Derrick is injured beyond repair Callie does the only thing she can and forms the forbidden bond between the them.

The first Sentinels formed such a bond and ended up killing all but one of the council. The two Sentinels claimed the council member was a demon and that he killed the other council members. They were put to death and the council band that bond between the Sentinel stating it would slowly drive them crazy. Derrick and Callie try to hide it both still unsure about the others feelings but they both still love each other and that bond was inevitable. Derrick is upset with it after being told since childhood that it was wrong but Callie is adamant that she was just doing what felt right, and it still does.

The death of Derrick's sister was just the start of it. Soon Derrick and Callie are evading sniper attacks, tracking the killer of several young women and when the council finds out about the bond Callie wants to continue to avoid them and continue trying to find the killer before he strikes again, but Derrick wants to explain. It all comes together in an explosive "what a twist" ending.

REVIEW Ghost of a Promise by Kelly Moran

Ghost of a Promise is the first of a new series by Kelly Moran. I  really enjoyed this book, it was like a ghost hunting show and a soap mixed into one. Ghost of a Promise follows the ghost hunting reality show Phantoms. If watching ghost hunting shows on tv gives you goose bumps and love it, this book is for you it is creepy and scary and so romantically sweet. It was a really good read, I look forward to more.

Jackson and Ava's relationship is complicated and will pull the tears out of you. I loved the whole crew of Phantoms and look forward to reading Give up the Ghost, the next book in the series.
