ARC REVIEW Wolf Rebel by Paige Tyler

Wolf Rebel (Swat, #10)SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team #10, I had been anticipating this one and it did not disappoint. This can be read as a standalone but the entire series is worth the read.

Rachel is still relatively new to the whole wolf thing, she still has nightmares about the event that activated her wolf DNA, it would give me nightmares too. They were getting better but ever since L.A. (the events in the last book) they have gotten worse and Rachel is afraid she's losing her mind because now she's started to see and hear things. It doesn't help that every so often she gets a delectable scent in the air that's gone as quickly as it appears.

Knox is known to make impulsive decisions, like joining the Navy, becoming a SEAL, leaving the Navy but his last impulsive decision put in hip deep in trouble by joining The Hunters. He believed their scare tactics it wasn't until his first mission with them that he regretted his rash decision because in the end he ended up as one of werewolves. He saved one by taking a bullet meant for her, she could have killed him but she let him go. He saw her again in L.A. and knew that if there was anyone her could talk to about what happened to him it would be her.

Two things happen in this book, aside from the smokin' hot romance between Rachel and Knox, The SWAT is put on protection duty of the DA whose life is being threatened because her most recent case. Her husband has also hired a private firm to handle security so SWAT will be working side by side with them bring together Rachel and Knox. Thankfully no one else knows about Knox being a former Hunter but Rachel and one other, but he isn't there right now. The other thing is that Rachel thinks she is losing her mind the crazed man who tried to kill her keeps appearing keeps talking to her. She agrees to help Knox learn who to be a wolf bringing them in even closer contact with each other, they feel safe with each other, trusting each other came easily. Knox knows about what happened and he wants to help but how can you protect someone from their own mind.

Overall, it is a great read. I loved Rachel and Knox. There aren't very many more of these guys left so I hope that means Tyler's introduction to the FBI special unit will lead to a spin-off series.

ARC REVIEW Wolf Instinct by Paige Tyler

Wolf Instinct (SWAT Book 9) SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team #9, wow, book nine already. Out earlier this summer if you haven't the chance yet I highly recommend this series. Throughout the book the SWAT has discovered they not alone, between the Omegas and the Betas but now they discover so much more, the shifters aren't the only paranormal out there. There is a continuing story arc but each of the book is a stand alone you can read it just by itself but really these books are quick and easy to read and so good it worth reading all of them.

The sexy former SAS Brit, Zane, and some of the others go to L.A. to track down the one who betrayed the pack. Zane is slowly recovering from the poisoned bullet that nearly cost him his arm, he's not sure he'll ever get back to full strength but that's not going to stop him from catching the SOB who was behind the attack in the last book. FBI Special Agent Alyssa Carson is part of a unit that technically doesn't exist. She's in L.A. following a lead on a missing persons and the connection to an exsanguinated body. Alyssa has seen some weird stuff but she is in no way prepared for meeting Zane, the hunters and all the other weird stuff L.A. has in store for them.

Overall, it's an exciting read. Excellent action, sweet and hot romance, wonderfully developed characters with the right amount of angst and witty banter.

ARC REVIEW Wolf Rising by Paige Tyler

Wolf Rising (SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team, #8)SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team #8, I love this cover! It's one of my favorite covers for this series, so far, and I love Jayden, he's one of my favorites second only to Landry. I love the direction Paige Tyler went with this book and how Selena ended up being an Omega. It really shines a new light on Omegas. Paige Tyler is so fantastic at what she does, her action scenes are intense and well written it's easy to picture in my head how everything happened. Her romance is something to swoon over too. Selena and Jayden don't start off like a normal couple after their initial meet, which Jayden rescues her from a student who was holding the class hostage at gunpoint, they try the typical first date stuff but with Selena going through the change at an expedited rate things get hot and heavy and bitty pretty quickly.

While Jayden and the other SWAT members are working with another department to help track down a new and extremely dangerous drug and the new mysterious crime boss behind it. Selena is dealing the the gang members in her school and trying to protect her students from becoming their next inductees or their next victims. All the while Selena is dealing with her new reality and what that means for her and Jayden. To top it all off, they still have to worry about the Hunters and it turns out there is a leak and it's a little too close to home.

Overall, I loved this book, this whole series is so freakin' good each book just keeps getting better and better. This book also introduces a new member for the SWAT pack, a woman named Rachel.

ARC REVIEW Wolf Hunger by Paige Tyler

SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series book 7 brings us the baby of the group Max Lowery. As the most recently  changed Max is still dealing with control issues. Max is lucky enough to find his One so early in his life, when he meets her and discovers that she too is a wolf shifter he feels even luckier until he realizes she doesn't even know that she is a shifter. Lana Mason felt a pull bring her home after graduation and she's glad she did after meeting Max; she feels an instant attraction with him and even though it's happening all so fast it doesn't scare her. For Lana the biggest issue they are having to face is her father's disapproval; Lana's Dad is one of Max's bosses, Deputy Chief Hal Mason. Max doesn't think it's going to be a problem they are destined to be together he's just going to have to deal with it, Max's main worry is that there seems to be a group of Hunters after Lana.

Lana is notified by Austin PD that her roommate was murdered, tortured first then executed. Max isn't worried about it too much at first until the Detective on the case tells him they found someone else who was murdered the same way, the guy in the picture the detective emailed Max is an Omega, that's when the warning bells start going off in his head. Lana isn't really taking it seriously, not knowing the full truth so Max tells her the truth, shows her he can shift. She is justifiably freaked out and upset. It isn't until she is chased around Downtown Dallas by these Hunters that she realizes he's right. But these Hunters are far more dangerous than they estimated and one of the team mates suffers for that miscalculation.

The romance between Lana and Max (there initials are ML and LM, I thought that was cute) is pretty swift and easy until the whole I'm a werewolf thing. There is a good bit of build up for their relationship it's not just all sex. There is also a side story that has to deal with Max's character development and him dealing with his past and those emotions, it also shows the IA as not such an ahole.

Overall, it was a great book I thoroughly enjoyed reading, I love the whole series, I can't wait until we finally get to the point where we find out who is behind the Hunters, and why the Omegas are changing into a more protective role. Paige Tyler has definitely weaved a great universe here, it's on going mystery of the Hunters and it's wonderful(ly hot) characters, memorable action, and fantastic romance.

ARC REVIEW Wolf Hunt by Paige Tyler

Wolf Hunt book six in Paige Tyler's SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series. I loved it. I enjoy the suspense and the action and I'm a big fan of intsa-love. I also enjoy how the paranormal aspect plays second fiddle to the rest of the story, yeah it comes into play more so in this one than the others the fact that they are shifters is mainly for the romance side of the story. If you are new to the series the Dallas SWAT is a group of alpha wolf shifter, in the previous five books we have seen the introduction to the betas, a more submissive wolf shifter, and the omega shifters which are crazed shifters who are more animal than man. The Team has also begun to find their "One true mate" they can mate with anyone but the the One is the one person in this world destined to be with the shifter it is a rare thing that the guys originally thought was only a legend.

Like with the other books this one starts off on the traumatic experience that triggered their shifter DNA. Remy was a DEA agent who was in love with his partner and as you can guess it ended badly. Skip ahead almost half a dozen years later and Remy, Max, Jayden, and Zane are all in New Orleans for some cross-training with NOPD SWAT. For Remy it is also a trip home. The boys are out enjoying the nightlife when Remy gets a whiff of something good and follows it. When he finds the source he also finds his old school friend Triana and boom Remy finds his One True love, even though he's not going to admit it yet. Triana is only in town visiting her mother it's just happenstance that she is there the same time as Remy. Remy, whom she had such a crush on in high school and one of her dearest friends until they lost contact in college. Triana went on to study Forensic science and began working at one of the best labs in Texas in Houston.

The cross-training is going well but soon the buys are asked to take part in an active case, one where they can't pin down the new person in town bringing in drugs. Remmy and the other guys know who it is they just have to find the evidence that will nail him unfortunately this guy has a big political face and anything short of ironclad is just going to make the NOPD look like fools. Also Triana and her mom are having so trouble a mysterious person wants to buy an amulet that belonged to Triana's father. Triana's father was brutally murdered when she was in college and they never found the person responsible. Now someone is willing to go as far as needed to get the amulet that Triana's father wore and Remy isn't going to let anything happen to Triana or her mother because now that he has found her again he is not willing to let her go that easily.

Overall, this was a really good read. I'm just in love with every book so far, Tyler's active setting is fantastic and her romance always smokin' hot.

ARC REVIEW Wolf Unleashed by Paige Tyler

I absolutely love this series. These guys are hot! But this book does need to come with a warning. If you love dogs, and get upset when bad things happen to dogs in books you might want to skip this one. It has some harsh moments with dog fighting rings and what happens to the dogs afterward. Other than that Fantastic book. This book just really hit the spot with my PNR/Action/Suspense reading needs.

Alex is one hot tamale, and when he falls he falls fast one look at the veterinarian who has been working with DPD's new Animal Cruelty Squad and he's a gonner. Lacey doesn't want a relationship, she watched her mother self destruct over men and has been raising her little sister all on her own. She is concentrating on getting her sister through college before she even wants to start thinking about her love life. But in walks Alex all sexy and a drop dead gorgeous smile not to mention he had the adopted pit bull mix, Tuffie, with him. No matter how easy he is to flirt with or talk to or how good he is with animals or how she can't stop thinking about him or how he won't give up asking her out, Lacey keeps turning him down, determined not to date yet. Finally after both her sister and her best friend tell her there is no time like the present, and that not all men are like the losers her mom dated she finally agrees to go out with Alex. ohhh Fireworks! That is until she finds out what he is.

Unfortunately, life intercedes. Alex is working a case with the DEA trying to track down a new and deadly drug on the streets which seems to also connect to a string of missing girls from the local colleges. Lacey has problems of her own when a dogfighting ring has ties back to a very powerful player in the city. The shit really hits the fan when Lacey's sister goes missing and the only one she can turn to for help is Alex.

Overall, such a great book, so intense at parts and Lacey and Alex together when they finally get together is well hot to say the least.

ARC REVIEW To Love a Wolf by Paige Tyler

To Love a Wolf

By Paige Tyler
Available Now

I absolutely love this series. I love the everything about it; the direction Paige Tyler went with the shifters, they are not typical shifter types. I love Landry Cooper, I have since the first book, and I have been (not so) patiently waiting for his book. But the wait was worth it! Tyler's writing style as always addictive. Fast paced action to grip you into the story; romance to make you swoon and break your heart a little when it has to then completely makes it up to you.

Landry Cooper has been there for three of his pack mates when they found their "The One" as a sounding board and a confidant, now it's time to find his. Everly was pleasantly surprised when the hot cop standing behind her in line at the bank asked her out, she was even more surprised when he ended up saving her life during a bank robbery minutes later. Everything is all sunshine and roses from the start with Landry and Everly. Landry knows beyond a doubt that Everly is "The One" and he's preparing himself for revealing his secret to her and hope for the best. Enter the conflict...
Everly's family.
Everly has very overprotective brothers and a father, they have been since the brutal murder of her mother when she was little. Introducing Landry to them was suppose to be easy, they would love him just as much as she loves him. But almost immediately they try to break them apart and they aren't shy about using force to do it. When Landry is forced to reveal himself before he was ready it just may have cost him the HEA he was looking for with Everly.

Also in the story is a wedding....

It was very nicely done and didn't take away from Landry and Every's story, it was a nice touch to see Mac and Gage get married.

Overall, this was another great action packed romance. Love it. Can't wait for more.

ARC REVIEW In the Company of Wolves by Paige Tyler

In the Company of Wolves is book three in Paige Tyler's SWAT: Special Wolf Alpha Team series. Ohhh, I loved it. Paige Tyler has a way about her writing that's just completely... wow. Like with the other two books Paige Tyler takes the Alpha Shifters of  the Dallas SWAT team and throws them into unexpected situations. So far we have just seen alphas but that's not all there are as we see in this exciting new addition to the series.

Eric Becker fell in love at first sight, the fact that she was holding a  gun to his head didn't cloud matters at all. But the fact that she is part of the new gang of criminals infiltrating Dallas put a bit of a damper on the whole she's my mate thing. Gage Dixon gets a tip that the new band of thugs will be hitting a warehouse is the first lead they have had and the team doesn't hold back especially when they realize the thieves are shifters too. The sweet smell of Becker's mate switches him to protective mood and risks his career to make sure she gets out alive and not in handcuffs. With Landry's help Becker hides her in a crate and breaks perfume bottles over her to hide her scent from the others. Only Becker's ingenuity and loads of patience lead him back to her.

Jayna Winston found out she was a shifter when her stepfather tried to rape her. She left home after nearly killing him for trying, ever since she has been traveling with another group of shifter who are like her betas lead by the alpha who saved her from living on the streets. Only recently has her faith in her alpha wavered, ever since he got the pack mixed up with the Albanian mob and a group of unbalanced and wild omegas. Claiming he owed them money and the only way to pay it off was to work it off by robbing certain places and basically help take over the Dallas area. Jayna stays because she is worried about her pack mates they aren't strong enough on their own and their loyalty to their alpha is strong even if he is risking their lives. Jayna doesn't know why the good looking SWAT guy didn't arrest her but she isn't going to look a gift horse in the mouth but when he tracks her down she doesn't know what to think she just has an unnerving urge to confide everything to him.

Becker risks his life and his job to protect Jayna and her pack mates from the omegas and the crazy Albanian mobsters, by going undercover as an omega. His plan to turn them against each other starts off good but works a little too well. Becker and Jayna even have time to get to know each other and reaffirm with each other that they are mates. Jayna also has to come to terms with the fact that she is now the alpha for her pack.

Overall, very exciting, from beginning to end it's almost non-stop action. And I'm waiting on baited breath for Landry Cooper's book.

ARC REVIEW Wolf Trouble by Paige Tyler

Book two of Paige Tyler's SWAT series, Wolf Trouble, is an exciting, heart pounding, steamy read. I fell in love with the Dallas SWAT team in the last book, the introduction to such a special group of men with extraordinary abilities. Now that closed off group Alpha shifters has to deal with the first female shifter they have ever met. This book was everything the first book was. Xander is a walking turn on and Khaki is an amazing heroine. Paige Tyler is a great storyteller, I was completely immersed in the story.

Leader of SWAT Sergeant Gage Dixon has been backed into a corner by HR and his superiors to "diversify" the team. The only way he agreed was that it had to be his pick, considering the list they gave him to pick from are all humans and not qualified and quite a bit of them were last assigned in IA. Gage admits he has been wanting to bring in a woman and he has just the one in mind.

Khaki Blake started to notice something was wrong with her after the night she was attacked saving a woman's life. Khaki has been a police officer for the Lakefront PD for years, but after a bad break up with a fellow officer, Jeremy Engler, she has been wanting a change, he has turned the department against her and every time she has needed back up he made sure she didn't have it. Three months after she first noticed the change she is approached by Gage and asked to join the Dallas SWAT team and with almost no hesitation, after she realizes he's for real, she agrees.

Senior Corporal Xander Riggs isn't so sure about having a woman on the team, but he accepts that it has happened. He is ready for her training and knowing he is going to have her on his team he's not ready for the enticing scent of her. She proves herself pretty much right away and gains the approval of the guys right off the back. The only one who seems to be disappointed in and push her harder than necessary is Xander. Xander keeps trying to keep her at a distance, he knows she just got out of a bad relationship and doesn't want to cross that line and make her uncomfortable and he is pushing her hard because he knows she can do it. Khaki has become fast friends with MacKenzie, she may be human but she knows more about shifters since she is engaged to Gage. MacKenzie isn't shy about telling Khaki that the reason Xander smells so good is because he is "The One" and explains how special that is for shifters.

Xander is basically a walking hard on whenever Khaki is near, but is impressed with how fast she is learning. When she comes to him for help he is surprises she is that strong and talented even though she has yet to fully shift yet. Xander coaches her on how to do the things the rest of the guys can do that she hasn't figured out yet. Their relationship quickly changes gears when they both admit their feelings, but because it is against regulations they have to keep it hidden.

Things get all messed up when a gang of bank robbers are hitting Dallas banks and the FBI calls the SWAT in to assist, but the agent in charge is douche and risks the lives of innocent bystanders, Khaki's quick thinking saves a young girl. The appearance of Jeremy Engler also messes with the hot and heavy relationship between Xander and Khaki and threatens to expose their relationship.

This book is everything I like about Paige Tyler, she has taken a new twist to shifter romance. Overall, this is a definite keeper and i really look forward to more and hopefully see more of Khaki's shy neighbor.

SPOTLIGHT TOUR Meet Landry Cooper from Hungry Like the Wolf by Paige Tyler

Title: Hungry Like the Wolf

Series: SWAT #1

Author: Paige Tyler

ISBN: 9781492608479

Pubdate: January 6th, 2015

INTRODUCING SWAT: SPECIAL WOLF ALPHA TEAM
They’re tight
They’re on target
They’re as alpha as men can get

The Dallas SWAT team is hiding one helluva secret…they’re a pack of wolf shifters.

The team of elite sharpshooters is ultra-secretive—and also the darlings of Dallas. This doesn’t sit well with investigative journalist Mackenzie Stone. They must be hiding something…and she’s determined to find out what.

Keeping Mac at a distance proves impossible for SWAT team commander Gage Dixon. She’s smart, sexy, and makes him feel alive for the first time in years. But she’s getting dangerously close to the truth—and perilously close to his heart...

SWAT Profiles

Meet the Men of the Dallas PD SWAT Team

Name: Landry Cooper
Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Brown
Age: 28
Originally From: Chapel Hill, NC
Occupation Before Joining SWAT: U.S. Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (Bomb Squad)
SWAT Rank: Officer

Years He’s Been a Werewolf: 4
Years He’s Been in SWAT: 3
One thing he never leaves home without: A basic EOD badge on a chain around his neck. It’s not his though.
Additional Notes: Most in-control member of the pack. Good at a full wolf shift. Loves cartoons and graphic novels/comic books. Tends to resists orders from both Gage and Xander (his squad leader), not because he’s a troublemaker, but simply because it’s so much fun to get those guys spun up.
(on a personal note I love this guy!!)

Not your typical shifter romance! I loved it everything about it I loved it! I even love how she came up with the idea, which she shares at the end of the book in her author's notes.

Mac Stone is a stubborn and tenacious woman and that makes her a great journalist. When she gets a lead that the Dallas SWAT isn't what they seem she knows it's exactly what she is looking for. Gage Dixon would do anything to protect his pack and having them all on his SWAT team just makes it easier to look after them, but when a certain journalist who has an irresistible smell threatens their safety he takes matters into his own hands. But Mac isn't the only thing Gage has to worry about. In a hostage situation at the beginning of the book a psychopath is killed, righteously, but still he was the son of the local crime lord. A dangerous man who blames Gage and his team for his son's "murder" and seeks out his revenge targeting Gage.

This is an action packed, emotional and erotic story with the perfect amount of sexual tension. This was a great book! All the members of SWAT are desirable and very, very alpha (drool....) and i'm giddy with excitement for more, I am highly anticipating the upcoming books in this series.
