ARC REVIEW Ink by Numbers by Carrie Ann Ryan

Ink By Numbers (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs Book 3.5)Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #3.5, Kaylee and Landon have  been building their non-relationship "off screen", basically, for the last three books. This one is a short and sweet story of them finally realizing they mean more to each other than just friends. When they first met neither were in a good place to start anything more than friendship but gradually their feelings have gotten much deeper and once they give into the temptation there is no turning back.

Overall, this was a quick and lovely read. For those of us who have been waiting for this book since the beginning of the series it was very satisfying. I would recommend for new readers, you learn more about Kaylee and Landon than in any of the other books. I would almost complain that it was too short but it worked.

ARC REVIEW Jagged Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Jagged Ink (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs, #3)Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #3, Another great book from Carrie Ann Ryan. This book was hard to read at points, not because it was bad but because it was so emotionally heart wrenching. I have been through something similar and the part where they actually talk about it was difficult to get through; despite having to stop to wipe away tears I still finished it in one sitting.

Roxie and Carter hit a rough patch in their marriage and the accident at Thea's bakery didn't help any matters. Not knowing how to talk to each other anymore was their downfall. Roxie filed for divorce and Carter moved out. With family and friend not knowing what to do but watch from the sidelines and be there when they need them; which is difficult for Carter because he feels like he's not a Montgomery and they are Roxie's family they should be there for her. Only Roxie cut herself off from her family and has been spending time with Liam, one of the Boulder cousins. They still need to hit rock bottom before they can work their way back out of the hole they dug themselves into. Can they rebuild the relationship or is it too late to try?

Overall, I love this series and this was an emotional rollercoaster. I knew I was in for an ugly cry when I picked this up but I wasn't prepared for how close to home it would hit for me. I'm sad to see this chapter of the Montgomery's to come to an end but I look forward to the Boulder Montgomerys.

ARC REVIEW 1001 Dark Nights: Ashes to Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Ashes to Ink (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs, #2.5)Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #2.5, From the last book I kind of knew Ryan and Abby were meant for each other. This is a quick read novella but Carrie Ann Ryan still manages to pack all her emotional angsty stuff and her hotter than hell romance into such a little package. Abby whose past is an open book among their group of friends and  Ryan a new friend but already part of the family whose past isn't as easy to read.

Friends first Ryan and Abby start to show signs of a mutual attraction after Ryan rescues Abby and her daughter from a snowbank. Abby conflicted because her first love, Max, she lost before they could even get married. Ryan is pretty sure Abby is the woman for him but his past is standing in the way, especially when his past shows back up and threatens to ruin everything good Ryan has done for himself.

Overall, I loved this it was short and hot. Ryan and Abby burn up the sheets, their chemistry is outstanding. I especially liked the shy awkwardness between them when Ryan first asks her out it was sweet. Of course you have all the emotion that pours out of them confessing things they never told anyone else it grabs you and twist you up, yep Carrie Ann Ryan excels at that.

ARC REVIEW Restless Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Restless Ink (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs, #2)Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #2, Oooooo the feels in this book. Thea was friends with both Molly and Dimitri before they married but after the divorce as much as she didn't want to pick sides she ended up siding with Molly, not like Molly really gave her a choice. But now that the divorce is over and has been for some time Dimitri wants his friend back it's bad enough his apartment doesn't let him keep his dog, Captain is staying with Molly until he can find a bigger place, most of his friends were Molly's friends in the first place and they all sided with her, but Thea was his friend and he wants that friendship back only this time when he is with her his feelings are more than just platonic.

Thea always knew what she wanted and she went out and did it, owning her own bakery is everything she hoped it would be but now she's the only single sibling and feeling like the fifth wheel and doubting whether or not focusing on just her career was wise. Now that she has one dream achieved another has quickly grown in its place but it is going to be hard work and once again places work before love life. Unless the guy in her life is completely supportive and sweet and gruff and a certain tattooed math teacher who use to be married to married to her best friend. Thea feels guilty for falling for Dimitri, but they know each other so well and she can't help her feelings or the regret the fantastic sex and Molly seems okay with it so what can be the problem?

Overall, another fantastic book from Carrie Ann Ryan. I loved Thea and Dimitri they are characters with plenty of dimension and flaws and the dog Captain such a sweet dog. It does fall close to the erotica side of romance but because it is story driven; the story mainly focus on their romance and the issues around it rather than the sex, I classify it more contemporary. It is beautifully written third person POV that switches focus between Thea and Dimitri with all the feels and heartache with some excitement and damn woman, Roxie and Carter! OMG, I can't not wait for their book. But I do have to admit Dimitri could never be my book boyfriend because I am Team Tony.

ARC REVIEW Fallen Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #1, New spin-off series this time following the cousins of the original Montgomery family, we start off with Adrienne. Shep is back in Colorado and has opened Montgomery Ink Too, MIT for  short, with his sister Adrienne. Adrienne of course hires her best friend and fellow tattoo artist, Mace Knight. I love that the dynamic between the two, Mace and Adrienne, shifts so dramatically and even though they are still friends they become more in the matter of seconds, and how they deal with it afterwards is the best. There are two other plots going on the same time Adrienne and Mace are trying to figure out their relationship and one of those is Mace's daughter, Daisy so freakin' cute. Mace has to suddenly switch gears from a part-time Dad to a full time dad when his baby's momma chooses her career over her daughter. The other sub plot being someone in town does not want the Montgomery's there and keeps trying to get them closed down. That ends rather abruptly...or does it? I don't know, I'm speculating at this point but I can see that as a continuing theme throughout this series.
Overall, Adrienne and Mace their romance is a little smoother than some of the other relatives but them trying to figure out where they stand with each other now especially with Daisy in the picture is such a great story complete with humor, some heartache and a beautiful HEA. Carrie Ann Ryan does it again with a fantastic story, beautiful characters inside and out; it was a good start to this series.
