ARC REVIEW Sated in Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Sated in Ink (Montgomery Ink: Boulder #2)Montgomery Ink: Boulder #2, It's been a while since I've read a menage, probably because it's been a while since Carrie Ann Ryan has written one. I am picky about any M/M or M/M/F I usually only stick to authors I know, because I already enjoy their writing style and I trust that I'll enjoy the book. Carrie Ann does not disappoint. Emotional, immersive, really freakin' hot! Top it all of with the wonderful Montgomery Family and you can't go wrong.

Ethan Montgomery has had a crush on his best friend Lincoln for as long as he can remember. Lincoln has had a crush on Ethan from the start of their friendship, neither of them knowing how the other felt. Jogging one morning they come across a bride drinking wine straight from the bottle just sitting in the park, concerned they introduce themselves and ask her out for coffee. Holland ran away from her wedding after catching her sister with her almost husband in a delicate situation. Ethan and Lincoln offered her comfort and friendship, which she needed after all her "friends" abandoned her in favor of her sister. Holland's friends and family vilified her making her the bad guy in this situation so her new friendship with Ethan and Lincoln was very much needed and welcome.

Ethan and Lincoln are both attracted to her and several months down the line when they invite her over for Mario Kart and drinking they never expect it to turn out the way it does. They all agree they are going to try and make it as a triad (because throuple sounds silly). The Montgomery's embrace Holland into their fold giving her a whole new family, one that actually likes her. Lincoln is dealing with his strangely possessive manager and not being able to paint, and Ethan is overworking himself even more than usual. Holland still feels like she's on the cusp of the relationship and it's only a matter of time before they move on without her.

Overall, it's an emotional and entertaining story. Communication is key in any relationship and having three people needs even more work, no matter how hot the sex is. Holland, Lincoln, and Ethan have their work cut out for them and it makes a great story with great characters. It was nice to see the Montgomery's again but you know who I really miss the Shifters. I miss Carrie Ann's PNR.

ARC REVIEW Reckless With You by Carrie Ann Ryan

Reckless With You (Less Than, #2)Less Than #2, We are back with the Carr siblings this time with Amelia the landscape architect. Everyone naturally assumed that Amelia and her best friend Tobey were dating, they weren't but Amelia wanted to change that. Unfortunately Tobey was not the man we had hoped to be, good thing Amelia has a wonderful support system in her family included in that her brother's best friend Tucker.

Tucker is hot, both men and women hit on him or just eye fucked him. He was fine with that he never had plans on getting married. After being raised in the foster system he had a hard time believing in anything permanent. Tucker always liked Amelia he never before let himself get to carried away by the attraction because his friendship with her brother but after what happened with Tobey and finding her drunk practically naked he's been thinking about her a lot more and not in the sisterly way either.

Tired of the pitying looks from her family and friends and to keep them from trying to set her up on a blind date she blurts out she dating already and the first name that comes out her mouth, Tucker. Tucker does not like lying to her family so they keep as close to the truth as possible but it doesn't take long before their fake relationship is real and by the time the emotions are running deep the other shoe drops but not like how you would think.

Overall, a fantastic read. It surprised me the direction she went with this but it was a good surprise. I love Tucker one of the things I enjoy about these books is how normal these people are with normal jobs; Tucker is a radiologist, Devin is postman (I keep expecting a postman always rings twice joke). They are amazing people who have learned to love despite their parents. Carrie Ann Ryan is a wonderful wordsmith with a knack for emotion, you feel for her characters, hurt when they hurt, laugh when they laugh, you root for them you want them to be happy and get their HEA. I am very much looking forward to Shameless With Him, it's about time for Zoey's story.

ARC REVIEW Breathless With Her by Carrie Ann Ryan

Breathless With Her (Less Than, #1)Less Than #1, Meet the rest of the Carrs. We meet the first sibling Dimitri Carr in Restless Ink, where we got a brief look at his siblings, enough of a look that made us fans know we wanted them. So here they are. Devin Carr was minding his own business sitting in a bar when a stunner in a red sequins dress walked in the door looking shell shocked. Erin Taborn was enjoying her high school reunion until she walked in on her husband doing the former head cheerleader she left the reunion with the only thought of getting smashed. Luckily her older sisters ex-boyfriend from high school, Devin, was there and told her he had her back for the night he even let her crash at his place cause she didn't want to go back home incase the cheating asshole was there.

One embarrassing morning and six months later the divorce is final and Erin is getting on with her life baking up a storm for her business Lace & Cakes. Erin has no interest in another relationship or even just casual she decided to work on becoming more self reliant she didn't need a man in her life and then Devin walks back into her life again. Erin wants to be able to stand on her own two feet and solve all her problem by herself, she learns it's not always possible especially with her friends. Things start casual between Erin and Devin because that's want Erin wants, Devin wants more but he knows she needs time but she also needs to know that it's okay to ask for help.

Overall, it was another wonderful heart wrenching book from Carrie Ann Ryan. The only thing I wasn't happy about was how Erin left things with her father, I felt that it was left unresolved she formed her opinion but never got his side. But other than that I loved it. It's told in first person with alternating POVs. Devin is sweet and patient Erin can be a little overly stubborn and blinded by her own need to prove herself to herself but together they make a great couple.

ARC REVIEW Wrapped in Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Wrapped in Ink (Montgomery Ink: Boulder, #1)Montgomery Ink: Boulder #1, More Montgomery cousins. Liam is the eldest of the Boulder cousins became a model at a young age, he also knew when to retire from that lifestyle he has since become the famous L.M. Berry an action adventure/sci-fi-ish writer. Arden Brady has been living with Lupus since she was young and since her unpredictable illness may flare up at any time she got into a job that allows her to work from home and from bed if the occasion calls for it, she is a professional researcher for authors and also writes and maintains series "bible" helping them keep track of everything pertaining to their book series. Liam and Arden meet at the hospital, Arden is suffering from a flare up and Liam saved his sister from an accident at a wedding. Despite not looking her best Liam and Arden still flirted and ended up with Arden giving Liam her phone number. Liam finds out something that changes his whole world, he feels like his whole life has been a lie. It was pure happenstance or just plain fate that Liam and Arden ran into each other a couple weeks later and have coffee together turns out they have quite a bit in common, for instance Arden does research for his books.

Arden deals with her attraction to Liam and fears that this relationship will be just like her other one and leave her heart broken she tries to keep herself distant from him, it doesn't help that he's sweet and kind and even her three very overprotective brothers like him. Liam, after finding out the truth, is dealing with an existential crisis. Arden was just supposed to be a distraction to get his mind off his family and his book but the more he becomes attached the harder time he has dealing with it, he can't even figure out what his characters are doing. Liam has to figure things out one at a time before all the pieces come together and if Arden lets her heart open to him and lets go of her fears.

Overall, another lovely, emotional, sexy story from Carrie Ann Ryan. I loved Liam and Arden. Liam and his identity crisis and Arden's battle with her own body and her mind and them falling in love such a good read. AND Arden's brother are getting their own series eventually YAY!

ARC REVIEW Ink by Numbers by Carrie Ann Ryan

Ink By Numbers (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs Book 3.5)Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #3.5, Kaylee and Landon have  been building their non-relationship "off screen", basically, for the last three books. This one is a short and sweet story of them finally realizing they mean more to each other than just friends. When they first met neither were in a good place to start anything more than friendship but gradually their feelings have gotten much deeper and once they give into the temptation there is no turning back.

Overall, this was a quick and lovely read. For those of us who have been waiting for this book since the beginning of the series it was very satisfying. I would recommend for new readers, you learn more about Kaylee and Landon than in any of the other books. I would almost complain that it was too short but it worked.

ARC REVIEW Jagged Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Jagged Ink (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs, #3)Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #3, Another great book from Carrie Ann Ryan. This book was hard to read at points, not because it was bad but because it was so emotionally heart wrenching. I have been through something similar and the part where they actually talk about it was difficult to get through; despite having to stop to wipe away tears I still finished it in one sitting.

Roxie and Carter hit a rough patch in their marriage and the accident at Thea's bakery didn't help any matters. Not knowing how to talk to each other anymore was their downfall. Roxie filed for divorce and Carter moved out. With family and friend not knowing what to do but watch from the sidelines and be there when they need them; which is difficult for Carter because he feels like he's not a Montgomery and they are Roxie's family they should be there for her. Only Roxie cut herself off from her family and has been spending time with Liam, one of the Boulder cousins. They still need to hit rock bottom before they can work their way back out of the hole they dug themselves into. Can they rebuild the relationship or is it too late to try?

Overall, I love this series and this was an emotional rollercoaster. I knew I was in for an ugly cry when I picked this up but I wasn't prepared for how close to home it would hit for me. I'm sad to see this chapter of the Montgomery's to come to an end but I look forward to the Boulder Montgomerys.

ARC REVIEW 1001 Dark Nights: Ashes to Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Ashes to Ink (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs, #2.5)Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #2.5, From the last book I kind of knew Ryan and Abby were meant for each other. This is a quick read novella but Carrie Ann Ryan still manages to pack all her emotional angsty stuff and her hotter than hell romance into such a little package. Abby whose past is an open book among their group of friends and  Ryan a new friend but already part of the family whose past isn't as easy to read.

Friends first Ryan and Abby start to show signs of a mutual attraction after Ryan rescues Abby and her daughter from a snowbank. Abby conflicted because her first love, Max, she lost before they could even get married. Ryan is pretty sure Abby is the woman for him but his past is standing in the way, especially when his past shows back up and threatens to ruin everything good Ryan has done for himself.

Overall, I loved this it was short and hot. Ryan and Abby burn up the sheets, their chemistry is outstanding. I especially liked the shy awkwardness between them when Ryan first asks her out it was sweet. Of course you have all the emotion that pours out of them confessing things they never told anyone else it grabs you and twist you up, yep Carrie Ann Ryan excels at that.

ARC REVIEW Restless Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Restless Ink (Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs, #2)Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #2, Oooooo the feels in this book. Thea was friends with both Molly and Dimitri before they married but after the divorce as much as she didn't want to pick sides she ended up siding with Molly, not like Molly really gave her a choice. But now that the divorce is over and has been for some time Dimitri wants his friend back it's bad enough his apartment doesn't let him keep his dog, Captain is staying with Molly until he can find a bigger place, most of his friends were Molly's friends in the first place and they all sided with her, but Thea was his friend and he wants that friendship back only this time when he is with her his feelings are more than just platonic.

Thea always knew what she wanted and she went out and did it, owning her own bakery is everything she hoped it would be but now she's the only single sibling and feeling like the fifth wheel and doubting whether or not focusing on just her career was wise. Now that she has one dream achieved another has quickly grown in its place but it is going to be hard work and once again places work before love life. Unless the guy in her life is completely supportive and sweet and gruff and a certain tattooed math teacher who use to be married to married to her best friend. Thea feels guilty for falling for Dimitri, but they know each other so well and she can't help her feelings or the regret the fantastic sex and Molly seems okay with it so what can be the problem?

Overall, another fantastic book from Carrie Ann Ryan. I loved Thea and Dimitri they are characters with plenty of dimension and flaws and the dog Captain such a sweet dog. It does fall close to the erotica side of romance but because it is story driven; the story mainly focus on their romance and the issues around it rather than the sex, I classify it more contemporary. It is beautifully written third person POV that switches focus between Thea and Dimitri with all the feels and heartache with some excitement and damn woman, Roxie and Carter! OMG, I can't not wait for their book. But I do have to admit Dimitri could never be my book boyfriend because I am Team Tony.

ARC REVIEW 1001 Dark Nights: Inked Nights by Carrie Ann Ryan

Inked Nights (Montgomery Ink #8.5; 1001 Dark Nights #82)Montgomery Ink #8.5, As with the other 1001 Dark Night novellas this can be read as a stand alone. One night a month for the last four years Derek and Olivia have been meeting at a hotel for one night of unbridled passion, no names they only know each other as D and O, no promises aside from them meeting that one night. It all changed when Derek broke the rules he told her his name. It was then Olivia realized who he was, and remembered him and now nothing will ever be the same again. As soon as Derek said his name he knew he had gotten in to deep with her, he realized he started to want more then one night, but something spooked Olivia and now he may never see her again. But it's a small world and Olivia just happens to be his bosses neighbor.

Derek and Olivia both carry a lot of guilt with them, Olivia especially. I love all this, the whole Montgomery Universe, characters can be so broken and damaged but yet they still find their way and get the HEA they deserve. Derek and Olivia together are smokin' hot. Right off the bat these two the chemistry is off the charts and I loved seeing Olivia and Derek hot and heavy but I also loved seeing them mend the past together and start all over, the epilogue was especially a nice touch.

Overall, it's another great story from Carrie Ann Ryan. Passions always run hot in her books and this one is no different, she also brings out the best in angst. I always manage to make room in my schedule to read Carrie Ann Ryan's books because I know they will be worth it.

ARC REVIEW Fallen Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #1, New spin-off series this time following the cousins of the original Montgomery family, we start off with Adrienne. Shep is back in Colorado and has opened Montgomery Ink Too, MIT for  short, with his sister Adrienne. Adrienne of course hires her best friend and fellow tattoo artist, Mace Knight. I love that the dynamic between the two, Mace and Adrienne, shifts so dramatically and even though they are still friends they become more in the matter of seconds, and how they deal with it afterwards is the best. There are two other plots going on the same time Adrienne and Mace are trying to figure out their relationship and one of those is Mace's daughter, Daisy so freakin' cute. Mace has to suddenly switch gears from a part-time Dad to a full time dad when his baby's momma chooses her career over her daughter. The other sub plot being someone in town does not want the Montgomery's there and keeps trying to get them closed down. That ends rather abruptly...or does it? I don't know, I'm speculating at this point but I can see that as a continuing theme throughout this series.
Overall, Adrienne and Mace their romance is a little smoother than some of the other relatives but them trying to figure out where they stand with each other now especially with Daisy in the picture is such a great story complete with humor, some heartache and a beautiful HEA. Carrie Ann Ryan does it again with a fantastic story, beautiful characters inside and out; it was a good start to this series.

ARC REVIEW Inked Memories by Carrie Ann Ryan

Oh you Montgomerys! So this is the last book for this branch of the giant Montgomery family tree. Not only does this book wrap up these siblings but it introduces us to the next batch of siblings who are going to get their books and a hint as to how big the family is (They aren't kidding when they say they have like 45 cousins). So Wes and Jillian, there is nothing like falling for your twin brother's former friend with benefits, can you say awkward. Maybe just for Wes and Jillian, Storm and everyone else saw it coming.

Wes and Jillian can't help but argue with each other, verbal foreplay, they don't know how to handle their attraction to each other any other way before you know it they are making out. Now that Jillian is working for MI her proximity to Wes just increases her desire. The same can be said about Wes the more time her spends with her the more he realizes his first assumption about her was wrong. Falling in love was the easy part it's dealing with everything else is what causes problems from a family crisis to "random" back alley beatings.

Overall, Wes and Jillian are so great together, they have more in common that you would think but once they allow themselves to let the other in everything falls into place. I absolutely loved this read.  And yes it is a very...

ARC REVIEW Hope Restored by Carrie Ann Ryan

Hope Restored is the final book in the Gallagher Brothers series, a spinoff of the massive Montgomery Ink series universe. This isn't the first time Carrie Ann Ryan has written about a cancer survivor, it's a very emotional topic and this book a real tear jerker. The friends to lovers romance that happens between Tessa and Murphy was exceptional.

Murphy has already beat cancer twice, once as a child and again later as a teenager. Murphy was enjoying his life and enjoying his carefree flirting with his brother's neighbor, Tessa. But one family gathering and his life feels like it spinning out of control again, he has cancer again. To make matter worse the people he's renting his place from are coming back and he needs to move out. Murphy needing someone to talk to ends up at Tessa's house and turns out it's a good thing Tessa has an extra room and he needs someone to watch out for him when he's going through his treatments and Tessa is the perfect choice. She's a friend, she's next door to his brother so he's close enough to family but not close enough that they can be overbearing.

Tessa never thought she deserved anything she got, she was abandoned as a child and her foster parents who later adopted her loved her beyond anything. Tessa growing up put them through hell trying to push them away, but they never let her. Grown up Tessa has distanced herself from them feeling guilty but talking with and falling in love with Murphy through his ordeal and experiencing the love and comradery of the Gallagher family she realizes what she's doing and start to make it up to her parents. Murphy and Tessa had a carefree flirtation going on but as soon as they are in close proximity to each other for a couple of days the sexual attraction becomes more than they can stand and give into it. But Murphy's cancer isn't the only thing that's getting in the way of their happily ever after, someone from Tessa's past has shown up and threatening their HEA.

Overall, this was an emotional but happy ending to this series and I can't wait for more from the Montgomery Ink Universe.

Storm's story took me by surprise, I didn't know what to expect it seems like everyone in the family has a secret to hide and we finally discover what's up with Storm. Everly is a strong and passionate woman, one all mother everywhere can relate to especially when you have a disabled or frequently ill child. Carrie Ann always hit the emotional spot. Everly's story really hit strong with me I can so empathize with her and dealing with endless doctors appointments. I don't think I have ever had a character hit so close to home for me.

Everly was left alone to raise her twin boys after her husband, Jackson, died. Storm was her husband's best friend and her too, but after the death things became awkward between them, he was always there for her and the boys but they weren't close like they use to be. Storm has kept his secret for long he knows it won't be long before it has to come out. When someone connected to Storm's secret exposes something about Jackson and his life Storm knows it's time for the truth to come out and then he will deal with the fallout afterwards. Jackson's secret will hurt Everly but Storm has no choice but to tell her. It only gets worse when bad things start happening to Everly. With everything that has happened Storm finally figures out where he stands with Everly and Everly finally figures out what it's like to be adopted into the Montgomery family.

Overall, Everly was my favorite part of this story. I loved Storm and the whole story the plot and characters but Every is my favorite.

BLOG TOUR ARC REVIEW Love, Honor, and Ink by Carrie Ann Ryan

Love-Honor-and-Ink-ECover-v72dpi-1

About LOVE, HONOR, AND INK

In a bonus Montgomery Ink novella, it seems that falling for your best friend isn’t as easy as fiction says and friends of the Montgomerys might finally find their happy ever after.

Wedding planner Arianna King had everything planned out down to the last detail until her father's ultimatum changed everything. Now she’s alone, trying to open her own business, and seemingly failing at every corner. Just when things start to look even bleaker, she’ll find out just how much she can rely on her best friend—and herself.
Being in love with your best friend isn’t always easy as Harper Rosso knows. He’s been by her side since the beginning, but now that she finally has time to breath, he might just be able to show her what he could be for her. Only he’ll have to make sure he’s ready to take that chance and perhaps lose her forever.
Sparks fly between the two of them once they finally take their relationship to the next level. Only the burning temptation than fills them might not be enough in the face of what they left behind and what threatens their future.

Add LOVE, HONOR, AND INK to your Goodreads list here!
Get your hands on LOVE, HONOR, AND INK now:

This is a great novella, a nice inbetween story about two side characters finally admitting they are a perfect match. Harper has always loved Arianna but he's satisfied with just being her friend while she concentrated on becoming the best wedding planner in the city. That is until her father tells her she's fired unless she marries a complete asshat, who unfortunately is also Harper's brother. Arianna would rather start over from scratch then marry Harper's weasley brother. Doing weddings the way she always wanted to do them on a much smaller and intimate setting. The Montgomery's and Harper are will to help her out with the start of her new business.
Harper decides he's done with waiting, he's going to show Arianna exactly what she means to him and Arianna without the curtain of her father ambition covering her eyes she starts to see Harper in a completely new way.
Overall, this was a great addition to the Montgomery series. It's nice to see the side characters get their HEA without taking away from the main characters.
