Another emotional roller coaster courtesy of Carrie Ann Ryan. Brynn and Finn, finally, and of course it isn't going to be an easy read. I love everything about this series starting way back at the start of the Redwood Pack series, there is no book I didn't love; this book is no exception. Carrie Ann Ryan does not disappoint.
As we read through the Redwood pack series we saw young Finn as a baby and small child. Now in the Talon pack series he's all grown up and he's not going to waste time on a woman when there is not hope for something permanent, but the sexy and snarky Brynn calls to him like no other; sadly his wolf does nothing.
Brynn has lived through hell, the former Alpha of the Talon pack her father was a horrendous leader who did countless atrocities to pack and especially his children. Brynn has moved past all that and now that she knows her mate a man her wolf calls out for she suffers far worse because Finn doesn't feel it too.
Their world has changed their secret is out. Their existence is out of the proverbial closet. Now the Packs walk a thin line to keep the human from getting scared and yet still show no fear. Talon and Redwood Packs have agreed the best course of action for now is to just be seen and be seen doing normal things, harmless things. Finn and Brynn are elected to go together shopping, drinking coffee and what not. But some humans are still scared and outright attack them, in the long run Finn and Brynn end up looking the heroes for it. That just makes the evil humans more upset and started attacking the packs homeland testing the wards.
Finn finally gives in and reveals everything to Brynn, and despite it all they give the mating mark a try but no avail, it doesn't work both heartbroken return to their homes. But all hope is not abandoned, Hannah has been afraid of this and has a plan.
Overall, I love this book. The love story does seem to overshadow everything else but heck this is a romance and it is still balanced.

ARC REVIEW Finally Found You by Carrie Ann Ryan
Finally Found You is book four in the Tempting Signs series under the zodiac sign of Cancer. I was looking forward to this because one of my favorite authors writing for my sign, wooohoo! It was a good quick read I really liked it. It's a stand alone from any other of Carrie Ann Ryan's series. The only thing is that it didn't quite get as in depth character and story wise as some of her other stuff, but it is a novella and it does give you enough to fall for the characters and empathize with them I was just expecting more drama.
Presley MacKenzie just walked in on her boyfriend screwing her friend on her kitchen counter. Mason Sutton just got very publicly dumped by his social climbing girl friend. Mason is very upset not just with himself for not seeing his girlfriend for what she really is but for his stupid brother for cheating on the perfect girl, Presley. Together they commiserate and heal, over time they become friends, best friends along with their friendship their attraction grows. They eventually give in to the desire.
Presley designs video games and is having issues at work with the boys club shutting her out sabotaging her career. Mason is landscape architect who is constantly belittled by his brother, the douche that cheated on Presley, and wants more that just a landscaper so he applies for a big job where he can do what he does best, even though he thinks he has no chance at getting it. As things progress with Presley and Mason physically, emotionally they get all confused and well stuff happens things are said and they bot must face what they really need and want before they get their HEA.

ARC REVIEW Gemini Rising by Ranae Rose
Tempting Signs book #3 is Ranae Rose's Gemini Rising. Unfortunately it didn't float my boat. I'm not much one for the boxing or mixed martial arts subgenre nor am I crazy over M/M/F, I am very picky about menage stories. I liked the characters and it's very hot but I just wasn't my cup of tea.
Grant and Daniel use to train together, live together and share women together, but when things got a little bit too intense between the two of them it ended abruptly. Now years later they are training at the same gym again and both interested in the same woman. Lila was raised by her uncle after her parents deaths and is used to being around fighters. She enjoys her life but gets confused about being attracted to two men. The animosity between Grant and Daniel grows until everything is laid out on the table and secrets revealed and when everything is mended between them they pull Lila into the mix. But when narrow minded people stick their nose where it's not wanted everything their relationship with Lila and each other as well as the reputation of the gym is compromised.

ARC REVIEW Forever Devoted by Virginia Nelson
Tempting Signs book two, Taurus. Forever Devoted is a wonderful story about two people who have known each other just about all their lives and always loved each other but never told each other how they felt. It takes a bad decision and a horrible accident for them to come to terms with their feelings and finally admit it to each other. It is a very touching story, a best friends to lovers trope.
Robbie and Gray became friends when they both needed someone to count on, both from abusive families they became the only family that mattered. Robbie breaks up with her boyfriend because he thinks there is something more between Robbie and Gray than just friendship. It's true to a certain extent she has always been in love with Gray but scared to say anything about because he won't feel the same, she couldn't be more wrong. It was love at first sight for Gray and when Robbie chose to get in the car drunk of her ass with some guy she met at the bar also three sheets to the wind and gets in a horrible accident and ends up in a coma and when she finally wakes up she can't remember what happened and the doctors are uncertain if she will ever walk again. Gray steps up and takes charge of her recovery and all her needs finally ready to open up to her about his love. But Robbie is tired of being taken care of and is scared of what needing Gray as much as she does will do to their friendship.
It's a good quick read and very satisfying romance.

ARC REVIEW Haunting Suspicions by Kate Richards
Haunting Suspicions is another book from Fated Desire's Paranormal by Mistake line it is also book one in the new series Goldland by Kate Richards. I enjoyed the book it went where I wasn't expecting but... it ended too quickly for me. It was a rather abrupt ending and I wish there was more to it. I liked it enough that I would more than likely read the others in the series; the characters were well thought out and really likable.
Alden is the host for a paranormal debunker reality T.V. Show, Not On My Watch. His next job is the sudden appearance of the Indigo Princess ghost that haunts the tiny town of Goldland. Alden started his search but instead of finding a ghost he found Orlena. Orlena a cat shifter and the towns teacher, knows the secret behind the Indigo Princess, hesitant at first to start the hoax but the life of the town and the pack depends on it. Orlena's ancestors were the inspiration behind the ghost, and it has kept the town thriving. Alden and Orlena fall into insta-lust and all common sense went out the window. Orlena should have known better than to have unprotected sex on the full moon, now she needs to keep a close eye on Alden. She doesn't realize who Alden is until the next day when the rest of the crew shows up. Orlena is confused and stuck between a rock and a hard place knowing who Alden is and what he does and the fact that she may have just turned him into a cat shifter.

REVIEW Shadow's Embrace by Cara Carnes
I love sci-fi adventure. Cara Carnes' Shadow's Embrace is a psychic goodness. From the On the Run line by Fated Desires a group of psychics on the run from a sadistic general bent on using them for evil means. After escaping from the torture Conver had them going through in the name of training a bunch escaped, the Shadow Elite, a bunch of high ranking psychics tired of Conver and his sadistic doctor escaped and set a bunch of other lower ranking psychics free. Now they fight Conver and his army of psychics. Indigo is a group of children and young adults that have been overlooked, gangs of hoodlums avoiding capture by Conver. Indigo provides education, food and protection. Devyn started up Indigo after her escape from Conver to prevent what happened to her to happen to them. Unbeknownst to the rest of her group she has been providing information it Shadow Elite, as a high ranking technopath she inadvertently ran across some sensitive information that now has Conver on her tale, and know she must rely on the Elite for help and protection.
I really enjoyed this story and the characters I can't wait for more.

REVIEW Tattered Loyalties by Carrie Ann Ryan
Ok when I say that everytime Carrie Ann Ryan releases a new book I have a new favorite, I'm not kidding. Tattered Loyalties is a fantastic start to the Talon Pack series and this particular story arc. Brie and Gideon are a perfect match even if they don't see how they are.
The Redwood Pack has known three decades of peace and the Talon Pack has had three decades of picking up the pieces from their last sadistic leader. Together with the Redwood pack they try and make an escape route and alternative plans for the eventuality of humans finding out about the existence of their kind. Gideon has done a wonderful job of bringing the pack up to modern times and mending the wounds that were left. Not everyone agrees with him. The Elders, one in particular Shannon, are stuck in the past and want things to go back to the way they were and will set Gideon up for failure. Shannon has convinced the rest of the Elders that Gideon must take a mate in order to run his pack successfully and if he won't they will force a mating on him with a power hungry female she can easily control. Little did they know Gideon already found his mate.
Brie has known for fifteen years who her potential mate is and has resisted it by avoiding him at all costs but when her uncle requests her presence for a meeting with the Talons she know he time has come. Brie is a submissive wolf, submissive wolves like much like the Omega can help calm down strong wolves but they are calm personalities and avoid conflict; Brie won't fight unless she has too. Brie knows as a submissive wolf she isn't strong enough for Gideon she isn't the alpha he needs to help run his pack but fate has decreed otherwise. Gideon knows immediately what Brie is and what she is to him, but as an alpha he was going to just ignore the connection until the elders gave him their ultimatum. Brie knows the politics of the pack and makes the decision that for the health and safety of the Talon Pack she will mate with Gideon. Together they are very sexually compatible (rwar) but it takes a while for Gideon to and Brie to learn about each other especially when it comes to Brie's strength. Them working together to find out just how perfect they are together is emotional and enjoyable, everything I love about Carrie Ann Ryan's writing is in this book. Everything starts to fall apart when a villain from the past shows up again and threatens all the hard work the two packs have worked for.
I loved, loved, loved this book. It was a great introduction to the characters in the new pack and even if you missed Redwood Pack as a whole (you really are missing something great) it doesn't impact much this is a new story arc and everything you need to know about the past is summed up in a nutshell. I really am looking forward to Finn's book next.

REVIEW Finding Lost and Ember's Secret
Fated Desires New Releases
Finding Lost by Deena RemielFated Desires On the Run line now brings us an exciting story of two people trying to escape their past. A very good, enjoyable and exciting story. I definitely need to look into more Deena Remiel books.
Carrie Samuels is trying to escape a stalker the police can not find. She did the only thing she could do until the stalker played his hand and exposes himself, she changes her name her appearance and moves away distancing herself away from family and friends. Three years of living on the caribbean paradise island and she feels like she's in a self imposed prison. Dillon McMahon is burned out, after being a detective and a private eye in his own private firm he has his fair share of enemies and moving to a small island is his early retirement. The instant attraction between Carrie and Dillon scares Carrie on edge afraid because her stalker and Dillon knows something is wrong. When their pasts collide it is an exciting and page-turning adventure.
Ember's Secret by Catherine Peace
Fated Desires Give Me a Taste line now brings us an interesting story with deep roots in Maori recipes and mythology. Out earlier this month Ember's Secret is interesting love story between a Ember a woman who is a Whakamanu—a descendant of the Maori bird-god Tane and a T.V. Celebrity Chef Austin Garten. I enjoyed it it was unique and I'm interested in the other books to come in the Solstice Quartet but overall it was just ok.
Ember's family is the last descendants of their line, Ember's father is paranoid and over protective ever since they escaped from their home after hunters killed her mother and her oldest sister disappeared trying to lead the hunters away. Doing what she loves most in the middle of nowhere running a Maori themed restaurant and just barely getting by until one day a traveling T.V. show's R.V. breaks down. Austin is in a rut and Ember is a breath of fresh air and her food is remarkable. He convinces her doing a show on her and her restaurant is just the thing she needs. Falling in love wasn't in the design but it couldn't help but happening, only Ember's secret just may scare Dillon off.

REVIEW Katalina Leon's Forsaken Realms and Hoodoo Blue
Katalina Leon has released not one but two novellas for Fated Desires new lines. Earlier this month Forsaken Realms kicked off the On the Run line and now Hoodoo Blue starting off the Set-Up line. The On the Run line I think is pretty explanatory the characters are on the run from someone or something; the Set-up line is where blind dates go wrong. (I love it already!)
Forsaken Realms is a Sci-Fi Romance set in the distant future. Retrieval Specialist Gemmina Nayar is asked specifically to pick up and turn in a corporate spy who tried to infiltrate the isolated and mysterious billionaire/ inventor Jason Naveen laboratory. But when she gets there she discovers the spy is one of the forbidden race Kironian. The Kironians isolated themselves away from the humans determined to keep them separate the human government agreed and forbid the Kironian space forbidden. Gimmina knows something is hinky when she finds out who she is transporting and when the huge Kironian opens his eyes and something passes between them she crosses her fingers that she is wrong. She's not. Soon Syan the gorgeous way off-limits alien is talking to her telepathically something they can only do with fated mates. He tries to warn her that Jason Neveen is not who he appears to be and will not let them go easily. He is soon proven right when her ship's engine blows up and they crash and are soon running for their lives. I love a good sci-fi and this one satisfied my craving for sci-fi and a good romance.
Hoodoo Blue is a funny PNR laced with good intentions gone wrong. The Blonde Bombshell witch also known as Fredi hasn't had the best luck with dating swearing it off because with every dirty/erotic thought she has green plasma flies out her fingertips setting things on fire. Gus is a Lycan shifter who hasn't had the best control of his shifting lately. When Fredi's best friend laces the Hoodoo Blue mix with a special potion to keep Fredi and Gus together and talking because she knows they are perfect for each other it all goes wrong. First they blurt out everything that comes to mind and then they can't move far from each other and that radius keeps shrinking not to mention the fact that Fredi keeps shooting green fire and it's a full moon so Gus isn't in control with his shifting. This is a funny funny story I enjoyed it immensely.

REVIEW A Pinch of Me, A Dash of You by Heather Thurmeier
First book of the New Year we have Pinch of Me, A Dash of You by Heather Thurmeier and is the start of a new line from Fated Desires the Give Me a Taste Line. Heather Thurmeier kicked off the the new line with a fabulous book. I thoroughly enjoyed this funny Food Romance. The book is a light and fun paced story of a foodie reviewer who can't cook and a chef who also runs a cooking school for low income students. Together they make a great story, one I could see turned into a movie.
Kali is known for her harsh reviews and Gordon Ramsey like insults. Lately though she is starting to feel the strain but with a cookbook deal in the works she is dealing with it. That is until she reviews the delicious food at Mac's where she takes it a step too far and insults his cooking school also. Mac knows an unfair review when he sees one and when he accidentally bumps into the reviewer he knows why. Thinking she has something wrong with her tastes buds Mac proposes a fair exchange; he teaches her in is school for the summer and she in return will write an article about the experience and all the positive his school does.
It turns out there's nothing wrong with Kali's tastes buds she just can't cook. Mac attempts to teach her and Kali uses the experience to help create her recipes for her cookbook. Because this is a romance Mac and Kali give into their attraction but their jobs get in the way. Investors are backing out because of the review and Kali's cookbook publishers are pushing her to use her review of Mac's and a recipe on how to improve it. Kali's editor also plays a particularly asshole part.
Overall this was a very good read, had me tearing up at parts and a very satisfactory ending.

Shiloh Walker has a couple of holiday themed novellas out there one of them being A Present for Christmas. A light semi fluffy, and I mean that is a good way, piece about two people getting back together. Already existing couple David and Cris are in love but David just might ruin it all by moving to another state for his job. Cris loves Alaska and she can't see herself living anywhere else and turns David down when asked to move with him. Nursing her broken heart Cris goes of to her friends cabin for a bit. David at the airport realizes what is the most important thing.
It's a sweet and a little bit naughty story great for any late Christmas gift for a any fan of Shiloh Walker.
Another one from Shiloh Walker this year is Every Last Fantasy. It was originally released ten years ago but was revamped and given a pretty new cover. Two peoples lives are intertwined, destined to be together and given a second chance. But can they interpret the dreams and clear up the confusion and make up for lost time or will they just let lost memories cloud their judgment. It is another light piece but a great one.
I loved it a great second chance story, and those are my favorite.
Carrie Ann Ryan has a whole series based around holidays, Holiday Montana. It centers around one of the predominate families in town. The town slowly reveals itself to be a center place for everything pertaining to the holidays. Every book takes place during a holiday or a major childhood "made-up" figure including Santa, the tooth fairy and the sandman. I loved reading this series, every book as it's own bit of magic that makes it unique from the others. If spaced out right you have a book to read at every part of the year.
My love for Sydney Bristol. One of my favorite BDSM themed writers, for the sheer fact that every one of her scenes are plausible and always pique my curiosity. She has out a new series out for this holiday season, Holiday Engagement series with two out now and having both of them I knew I would love them and I do. The first Festive Seduction is as the name implies an seductive little number involving a string of Christmas lights and avoiding the relatives. Together moving past a bad event that could have ruined other relationship just made theirs stronger. It's no surprise that the book ends in an engagement but the events leading to that is what's important.
The second book in the series Electric Engagement is definitely
that with violet wand use and a creative rope web. I loved it it has great visuals, it was like a movie playing out in my head. Wanting to be pushed to her limits things do get intense and if you don't like knife play or electro-stimulation you might not like it. Once again, I loved it! Carla is a girl after my own heart a bit of a SAM and a lover of rope play, sigh, and Ryan yumm.

This was a great pick! first you have over twenty novellas full of Alpha males to love, from just your straight forward contemporary, military hunks, domineering werewolves, vampires, shifters, headstrong billionaires, dragons and demons and so much more. and it's only .99 cents!!!!!!
Since there are so many to talk about I will keep it easy. Some parts are taken straight from the goodreads blurb others that I really liked I wrote somthing. I enjoyed every story in this collection I would not rate any of them individually under a three.
Viola Rivard--The Dragon's Appraiser
It was a good choice to kick start the collection. Given as a sacrifice she must now find out how to escape or survive. It's a thousand in one night type story. S. E. Smith--Taking on Tory: Magic, New Mexico Book 2
The only girl and the baby is over protected by everyone but her one chance to get away leads her straight into the arms of a werewolf who always thought he was alone.
Mandy M. Roth--Broken Communications

Michelle M. Pillow--Determined Prince--Captured by a Dragon-Shifter
With no one left to marry on the planet, the dragon shifters are starting to get desperate.
Sidney Bristol--Bound and Tamed, Bayou Bound #4
I love Sydney Bristol, and I love this series of hers. Computer hackers turned good guys look into who has been hacking into the police evidence lock up and stealing evidence and along the way finding love in their kink with each other.
V. M. Black--No Gentleman
A blue collar debutant who would rather study chemistry finds love with a lonely vampire. It was really short and she accepted the whole vampire thing really easily.

EARLY REVIEW Tempting Boundaries by Carrie Ann Ryan

Decker has never acted upon his feeling for Miranda because he is afraid of what her family would say, as an adopted part of the family he is scared his best friends would turn against him for loving their baby sister. Miranda has always loved Decker, but an ill timed forward overture toward Decker has Miranda thinking it's time to move on. So when a coworker at the school asks her out she accepts, to bad this guy is a psycho and overbearing in a bad way. Miranda knows it's a bad situation and tries to leave but gets smacked around anyway and the cops are hesitant to believe her side of the story. But her family believes and that's enough especially when Decker takes over, in the good way. Finally admitting their feelings to each other and the family and facing the repercussions from that they are finally able to start a real relationship, until Decker's horrible family history rears it's ugly head and makes him doubt himself.
Along with Miranda and Decker we see the on going condition of Harry Montgomery and his cancer treatment and the failure of already existing marriages between two of the other siblings, as well as a happy surprise too.

BLURB:
Forever Ink by NYT Bestselling Author Carrie Ann Ryan A Montgomery Ink Novella The idea of a May-December romance has never looked so hot when it comes to broody lawyer, Morgan and sizzling tattoo artist, Callie. Between conniving family members, blondes with too much time on their hands, and their own misgivings, trust in the bedroom and out of it won’t come easy. http://carrieannryan.com/hot-ink/

Also included in this anthology:
Takedown by USA Today Bestselling Author Cari Quinn A Tapped Out Bonus Novella After honorably discharged Navy SEAL Liam Walsh discovers his estranged brother, Slater, is living platonically with Abby, the only woman Liam ever loved, he vows to remind her of their scorching history. But Abby has changed since Liam left, and he only has one long weekend to stake his claim…
Bound Memories by Sidney Bristol A Bayou Bound Novella Kit Carson is back in his home town to do more than promote his latest reality TV win on Tattoo King. He’s returned to win over the woman who kinked up his world, but Renee LeBlanc isn’t the girl he remembers. Ten years can go in a blink of an eye and he won’t let her walk away from him again.
My love for Carrie Ann Ryan and Sydney Bristol just keeps growing by leaps and bounds.
*Carrie Ann's Montgomery Ink series is a sexy tattooed large family series and this novella is a story about an older man and a sweet tattoo artist. Callie knows what she wants and Morgan is who she wants, but the brooding Morgan has to over come the age difference and his conniving mother and her latest plastic hopeful. I really enjoyed the story of Callie and Morgan. In typical Carrie Ann fashion there is a deep hurt that happens before their HEA with a lot of hot and dirty sex in between.
*Cari Quinn's Takedown switches POV from Liam to Abby and that is my only problem with the story, at times it was hard to keep track of who is narrating. When they are talking to other people it's easy but when they were talking to each other it was confusing at times. Other than that it's a wonderful second chance story about misunderstandings and forgiveness. Liam up and left his family for the NAVY thinking it was the best for them in leaving he also left the love of his life pushing her away. Abby was nearly destroyed when he left but an friendship with his siblings helped in the healing. When Liam shows up to restore the family ties he finds Abby living with his brother. The spark is still their and Liam isn't going to let Abby go this time he just need to fix this relationship with his brother first.
*Now Sydney Bristol's Bound Memories fits in to her Bayou Bound series and is just as good as the others. Renee LaBlanc gave up her dream to be a tattoo artist and Kit Carson made it big after getting a spot on a T.V. reality show and then winning it. Kit has gone back home his Uncle and only living relative is dying and wants to make amends. His Uncle also wants to finally solve the one cold case that has been plaguing his conscience and has Renee and Kit look into it, but digging up old clues brings out the killer who set his sights on Renee. Kit's future is up in the air he has no set plans but the real reason for going home was to find Renee and try to rekindle what was once the best thing going for him. What he gets is so much more, there is also an appearance from Carrie Ann's Midnight Ink squad.
His mother waved her hand in the air in a dismissive gesture. “Oh stop being so difficult. Heather is a nice woman. She’s a McKinley, their youngest in fact. The others were already snapped up but she’s now ready for society and the pressures of being a society wife. She’s trained in her duties and will be fine with your wandering eye if that’s what it comes to. She’s not in it for love, but for your name. If you want to have a few daisies on the side, then keep it quiet. Your father always did. You’re not getting any younger and I need grandchildren.”
Morgan ground his teeth. There were so many things wrong with what his mother had just said, he didn’t know where to start. This wasn’t the first woman she’d paraded around him. No, Heather was the latest in an endless line of perfectly sculpted women with even more perfect backgrounds. He wanted no part of that life. His sisters lived it. His mother had. He would not hurt the woman he married. He wouldn’t be the man his father had been. While his mother never acted hurt over his father’s affairs, Morgan knew better.
“You have grandchildren, Mother.” There. He’d start with the easiest part.
“Your sisters have children and I play the doting grandmother.”
Playing a doting grandmother? Yes, and she deserved an Oscar for her performance.
“You need an heir, Morgan. Our family legacy cannot and will not end with you.”
They’d had this argument countless times before. “My sisters’ children will be well provided for no matter what children I bring into the world. We aren’t in the ducal system in England. Stop trying to put your pressures on me.”
His mother scowled. “You’ll never amount to what he wanted for you.”
He nodded. “True, because I never wanted to.”
